Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the HeuristiCheck Chrome Extension ("Service", "Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and the creator (Anuraj Dwivedi).

2. License to Use

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Extension strictly in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Extension.
• Use the Extension for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notice (including copyright and trademark notices) of the Extension.

3. AI Features & API Usage

HeuristiCheck includes features that utilize Artificial Intelligence ("AI") to suggest code fixes and analyze UX issues.

3.2 AI Output Disclaimer

AI-generated code suggestions are provided for convenience only. You agree to review, test, and validate all code fixes before implementing them in a production environment. We accept no liability for errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities introduced by using the AI-generated code.

4. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is paramount. HeuristiCheck operates on a "Local-First" architecture. We do not store your audit data, browsing history, or API keys on our servers. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The Extension, including its original content, features, and functionality (excluding the underlying Heuristic Frameworks owned by their respective copyright holders), is and will remain the exclusive property of Anuraj Dwivedi.

Note: References to "Nielsen's 10 Heuristics" are used for educational and functional purposes based on established industry standards. This tool is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Nielsen Norman Group.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the automated audits will detect all usability issues or accessibility violations.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the Creator be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to use the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
